Rinse and chop all the vegetables.
Soak the cauliflower florets in salted water for 15-20 minutes. then drain and set aside.
Blend the onion, tomatoes, ginger, and garlic in a blender until smooth, with little to no water.
Heat oil in a pan. fry the cumin seeds and bay leaves.
Add the chopped onions and fry until light brown. then add the blended onion-tomato paste.
