To make the spicy basella fritters, start by cleaning the basella leaves and pat them dry.
In a mixing bowl, combine the besan flour, corn flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, and salt.
Add water gradually to the dry mixture and whisk well to form a smooth batter. the consistency should be thick but pourable.
Add the fruit salt to the batter and mix gently. it will cause the batter to become light and fluffy.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadai on medium heat.
