Rinse the moong dal thoroughly with water to remove any dirt or impurities.
In a pan, dry roast the moong dal on medium-low heat for 3-4 minutes to remove excess moisture. stir occasionally.
Once dried, transfer the roasted moong dal to a bowl and let it cool down.
In the same pan, dry roast the gram flour for 2-3 minutes on low heat. remove from the pan and let it cool completely on a plate.
In the pan, dry roast the coriander seeds, fennel seeds, black peppercorns, and carom seeds for 3-4 minutes on low heat.
