To prepare the khichdi paratha, first, soak the bengal gram (chana dal) in water for a few hours or overnight.

Drain the soaked chana dal and coarsely grind it in a blender without adding any water. the consistency should be similar to a khichdi.

In a mixing bowl, combine the coarsely ground chana dal, rice flour, chopped onions, and salt. mix well to form a smooth, pliable dough. adjust the seasoning as needed.

Heat a tava or griddle on low flame.

Take a golf ball-sized portion of the dough and place it on a greased baking sheet or parchment paper. use your oiled palms to pat and shape the dough into a round paratha.
