Rinse bajra, yellow moong dal, and masoor dal under running water. soak them together for about 30 minutes, then drain the water.

In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add cumin seeds. let them splutter.

Add asafoetida, turmeric, and green chilies. saute for a few seconds.

Add the soaked and drained bajra, yellow moong dal, masoor dal, and salt to the pressure cooker. mix well.

Add 3 cups of water and stir everything together.
