Start by rinsing 1 cup of sabudana (sago) in a bowl, rubbing it to remove excess starch.
Rinse the sabudana twice and then add 0.75 cup of water to it.
Ensure the sabudana is fully immersed in water and let it soak for 6 hours. the soaking time may vary depending on the quality of the sabudana.
After soaking, check that there is no water at the bottom of the bowl. the sabudana should be easily mashable between your fingers. if it is still hard, sprinkle some water and soak it for an additional 30 minutes.
In a heavy-bottomed pan, roast 0.5 cup of peanuts on low flame until they turn crunchy.
