To prepare the spicy coconut & sesame chutney, begin by dry roasting the white sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat.
Roast them for about 10 minutes until they turn a light brown color and release their aroma.
Transfer the roasted sesame seeds to a grinder. add freshly grated coconut, shallots, red chillies, tamarind, honey, and salt.
Blend the ingredients into a smooth or slightly coarse paste. add a small amount of water to achieve the desired consistency.
Taste the chutney and adjust the seasoning if needed.
