Grate the bottle gourd (lauki) and squeeze out excess water. set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine grated bottle gourd, chickpea flour (besan), red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder (haldi), garam masala, and salt. mix well to form a thick batter.
Heat sunflower oil in a pan for frying.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until the koftas turn golden brown and crispy. remove them from the oil and set aside on paper towels to drain excess oil.
