Preparation: to prepare zesty fish curry delight, start by washing and cleaning the fish. apply salt and lemon juice all over, and marinate for 1 hour.
Egg mix: in a large mixing bowl, combine beaten egg, cornflour, green chili paste, ginger paste, black pepper powder, and salt. mix well and set aside.
Frying the fish: heat a little oil in a shallow fry pan. dip each marinated fish fillet in the egg mixture and shallow fry on medium flame until both sides turn deep golden in color. cover the pan for a minute to aid in cooking.
Onion and tomato base: in a kadai, add a little oil. add mace and let it infuse for a few seconds. add onion paste and saute until the rawness disappears. add ginger paste and a slit green chili, and fry until the mixture turns golden in color.
Spice infusion: incorporate tomato puree, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, kashmiri red chili powder, and garam masala powder. fry until the mixture is well-cooked and deep in color.
