Clean and wash the fish thoroughly. marinate the fish with a teaspoon of turmeric powder (haldi) and a pinch of salt. let it rest for about 15 minutes.

Heat sunflower oil in a deep pan or pot. add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.

Add fenugreek seeds and curry leaves to the pan. stir for a few seconds until the aroma is released.

Add chopped onions and saut„© until they turn translucent.

Add finely chopped ginger and garlic. saut„© until the raw smell disappears.
