Start by peeling the bottle gourd and cutting it into half-inch cubes.
Set the cubed bottle gourd aside.
In a pressure cooker, place the cut bottle gourd cubes along with a pinch of turmeric powder, a dash of salt, and 2 tablespoons of water.
Pressure cook over high heat for 2 whistles, then turn off the heat.
Rapidly release the pressure by placing the cooker under cold running water. this will prevent the bottle gourd from overcooking.
