To prepare the spiced bitter gourd yogurt bites, heat about 2 cups of water in a saucepan and boil the bitter gourd slices for about 2 minutes or until they are semi-cooked.

Strain the bitter gourd slices and set them aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, red chilli powder, coriander powder, black salt, and asafoetida.

Toss the semi-cooked bitter gourd slices in this spice mixture. add a little water if needed and mix well to coat the slices evenly.

Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying and fry the spiced bitter gourd slices in batches until they become crispy and well-cooked.
