To prepare the nutritious millet and lentil khichdi, start by measuring 1/2 cup of mixed millets. thoroughly wash the millets and allow them to drain in a colander or fine-meshed sieve.
In a pressure cooker, warm the ghee over medium heat.
Add asafoetida and cumin seeds, allowing them to crackle for a few seconds.
Once the cumin seeds crackle, add the chopped onions and saute until they become soft and translucent.
Now, add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
