How To Cook?

Rinse the moong dal (split yellow lentils) thoroughly and soak them in water for about 30 minutes. drain the water.

In a pressure cooker or a pot, add the soaked moong dal along with ginger, cumin seeds, and enough water to cover the dal. cook until the dal becomes soft and mushy.

Heat butter in a separate pan and add finely chopped onions and garlic. saute until the onions turn golden brown.

Add the cooked moong dal mixture to the pan with saute onions and garlic. mix well.

Add salt, turmeric, and water to adjust the consistency of the soup. stir and let it simmer for a few minutes.
