Rinse the toor dal and soak it in water for 1 hour. then, drain the water and blend the dal to a coarse consistency.
In a bowl, combine the blended dal, cumin seeds, minced garlic, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, garam masala, and salt. mix well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Heat ghee in a pan and add the cumin seeds. let them splutter.
Add the garlic mixture to the pan and saute on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the dal is cooked and the flavors are well combined.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
