To prepare the creamy sultani dal delight, start by pressure cooking the arhar dal with 2 cups of water. add a pinch of turmeric powder and salt to the dal. let it cook for 4 whistles, and then allow the pressure to release naturally.
Once the dal is cooked, transfer it into a saucepan and use a muddler to mash the dal into a smooth coarse paste by adding a little water.
Heat the saucepan and add milk, fresh cream, and yogurt. slowly mix them into the dal until it thickens.
While the dal is thickening, prepare the tempering. heat a heavy-bottomed pan with ghee and add cumin seeds. allow them to splutter for a few seconds.
Add chopped ginger, garlic, and onions to the pan. saut„© until the onions become translucent.
