To prepare the tangy tomato onion chutney, heat sesame oil in a pan.
Add finely chopped onions and cook until they turn soft and translucent.
Once the onions become soft, add the ripe tomatoes, sliced green chillies, salt, asafoetida, and turmeric powder. cook until the tomatoes become soft and tender.
Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool down.
After cooling, transfer the mixture to a mixer grinder and grind it into a smooth chutney.
