To start preparing kerala style rice porridge, wash the red rice and place it in a pressure cooker. add a pinch of salt and 4 cups of water.
Pressure cook the rice for 6-7 whistles on high heat. then, reduce the heat and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
Turn off the heat and allow the pressure cooker to cool naturally. once cooled, open the pressure cooker.
If needed, adjust the consistency of the rice porridge by adding more water.
