To prepare the gatte for the pulao, mix besan flour, carom seeds, red chilli powder, curd, sunflower oil, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Gradually add water and knead the mixture to form a firm dough. knead well for about 5 minutes until it becomes soft and pliable.
Roll the dough into a long cylinder and cut it into 1-inch discs to form gatte.
Boil water in a large saucepan and add the gatte. cook until they float to the top, then boil for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.
Drain the gatte and set them aside.
