In a mixing bowl, combine besan flour, corn flour, red chilli powder, garam masala, a pinch of asafoetida, baking soda, and salt. mix well.
Add water gradually and make a thick, smooth batter without any lumps. set the batter aside.
Peel and grate the potatoes. also, coarsely crush the fresh peas.
In a separate pan, heat 2 teaspoons of sunflower oil. add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. let them crackle.
