Heat olive oil in a pan or tawa over medium heat. add bay leaves, cloves, black peppercorns, and cumin seeds. let them splutter and release their aroma.

Add finely chopped onion and saute until it turns golden brown. season with salt to taste and add slit green chilies.

Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, and ground coriander. saute for a minute until the raw smell of spices disappears.

Stir in the finely chopped tomato, red chili powder, and yogurt. mix everything well to create a flavorful base.

Season with salt to taste and mix well. cook the mixture until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
