To prepare the spicy pallipalayam style chicken fry, grind the pearl onions along with garlic in a mixer grinder and set it aside.
Heat a skillet with coconut oil over medium flame. add dry red chillies and allow them to sizzle for a few seconds. next, add the curry leaves and let them crackle.
Add the ground onion-garlic mixture to the skillet and saute until the raw smell dissipates. this should take about 10-12 minutes.
Once the onion mixture appears cooked, add the red chili powder and turmeric powder. continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and sprinkle some salt. mix well and saute until the chicken is well-roasted.
