To prepare mughlai-style chicken haleem, begin by dry roasting all the spices listed under the masala section. once roasted, grind them into a fine powder. set aside.
Soak the chana dal, broken wheat, and rice separately in water.
In a saucepot, heat oil over medium heat. add sliced onions, ginger garlic paste, and green chilies. saut„© until the onions turn brown. remove from the heat and set aside.
In the same pan, add 3 cups of water. then, add chicken pieces, salt, and red chili powder. cover and bring it to a rolling boil.
Once the chicken changes color, add the soaked chana dal, broken wheat, and rice. cover and cook.
