Start by cooking the elephant yam pieces in a pressure cooker for 4 whistles until they are soft and firm.
Once cooked, allow the pressure to release naturally.
In a non-stick pan, heat some sunflower oil and add cumin seeds. let them splutter for a few seconds.
Add the boiled yam pieces to the pan.
Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, and dry mango powder over the yam. season it well with salt.
