To begin making the spiced potato nuggets, scrub the potatoes thoroughly and wash them until clean.
Peel the skin of the potatoes and boil them in a large saucepan for about 5 to 7 minutes until slightly tender but still firm.
Drain the boiled potatoes and rinse them with cold water. pat dry the potatoes to remove excess moisture.
Once slightly cooled, grate the potatoes into a large mixing bowl.
