To prepare the spiced potato and oats grilled sandwich, heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. add mustard seeds, split urad dal, and chana dal. roast them until lightly browned.
Add ginger, curry leaves, chopped green chilies, and asafoetida to the pan. mix well.
Now, add turmeric powder, salt, grated potatoes, and instant rolled oats. stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
Cover the pan, lower the heat, and let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until the potatoes are cooked.
Once done, turn off the heat, and set the filling aside.
