Wash the whole red lentils (masoor dal) thoroughly and soak them for about 30 minutes.
In a pressure cooker, combine the soaked lentils, sliced green mango, turmeric powder, and slit green chilies. pressure cook until the lentils are cooked.
Ensure the mango slices retain their shape and aren't overcooked.
Once the pressure cooker has cooled down, carefully open the lid and lightly mash the lentils.
