To begin making the bonda mor kuzhambu recipe, first, we'll make the bonda (spicy lentil dumplings).
Wash and soak the urad dal for 2 hours. grind it in a mixer grinder along with ginger and green chilli (if using) to make a smooth paste.
Transfer the batter to a bowl, season it with salt, and whisk vigorously to achieve a light texture.
In the meantime, soak coriander seeds, toor dal, and a dried red chilli in water and keep aside.
Heat enough oil in a frying pan over medium heat. once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of small balls of the bonda batter into the oil and fry until golden brown, just like making medu vadas.
