Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. add mustard seeds, urad dal split, and fenugreek seeds. saut„© until they start to splutter and turn golden brown.
Add chopped onions and saut„© until they become translucent.
Now, add cumin seeds, green chillies, and grated coconut. cook for a few minutes until the coconut turns lightly browned.
Stir in turmeric powder and tamarind paste. mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Pour in enough water to make a thick gravy consistency. allow it to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the curry thickens.
