To make sesame spiced murukku, in a large mixing bowl, combine rice flour, urad dal flour, asafoetida, white sesame seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and unsalted butter. mix all the ingredients well until they form a crumbly mixture.
Grease the murukku press (chakli maker) with oil and set it aside.
Heat oil in a deep pan for deep frying the murukku.
Meanwhile, prepare 20 small square pieces of aluminum foil, each about 2 inches in size. grease them with oil and keep them ready.
Load the prepared murukku mixture into the greased murukku press.
