How To Cook?

In a pan, saute the broccoli and onion with butter over medium heat until the onion turns transparent, approximately 4 minutes.

Add the all-purpose flour and stir until it turns a dull color, about 1 minute.

Pour in 1.5 cups of water and bring to a boil. let it simmer for 6 minutes without covering the pan. you can transfer the mixture to a bowl for boiling.

Lastly, add milk to the pan (or cream if preferred) and use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth. if you don't have a blender, you can strain the soup in a colander or metal strainer, let it cool down, puree it, and then mix it back into the soup before reheating.

Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
