To prepare the creamy mushroom and garlic soup, clean, wash, and chop the button mushrooms.
Finely chop the garlic and fresh thyme leaves. also, chop the leek.
In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. add the chopped garlic and thyme, and saut„© for about a minute to release the flavors of the garlic.
Add the chopped leek and saut„© for another 2-3 minutes until the leeks become tender and translucent.
Next, add in the chopped mushrooms and continue saut„©ing over medium-high heat until the mushrooms become soft and cooked. this process may take about 5 to 10 minutes.
