To prepare the spicy cornmeal dhokla, crush the garlic, green chillies, and fresh coriander leaves using a mortar and pestle.
In a mixing bowl, combine the degermed yellow corn meal (makki ka atta), baking soda, the crushed mixture of garlic, green chillies, and coriander leaves, and the required amount of salt.
Knead the mixture well, adding water gradually to form a smooth dough.
Shape the dough into small dhoklas, similar to south indian vadas.
Steam the dhoklas in an idli steamer for approximately half an hour or until they are cooked through.
