In a mixing bowl, combine suji, sugar, ginger paste, green chilli paste, oil, curd, and water. mix well to form a smooth batter. let it rest for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, add baking soda to the batter and mix gently. the batter will become frothy.
Grease a dhokla plate or a shallow dish with oil. pour the batter into the greased plate.
Heat water in a steamer and place the dhokla plate in it. steam the dhokla for about 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once cooked, remove the dhokla from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes.
