To prepare the zesty & crunchy pan-seared plantains, start by washing and peeling the raw plantain using a peeler.
To prevent the plantain starch from sticking to your skin and to avoid discoloration, apply a little oil to your fingers and palms.
Cut the peeled plantain in half and then slice it lengthwise into 1/4-inch thick pieces.
Soak the plantain slices in water for about 20 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt to create a spice mix.
