If using readymade tamarind paste, use 1 tablespoon and skip tamarind juice extraction. otherwise, soak 1 tablespoon of tamarind in _ cup of hot water for 10 to 15 minutes.
Mash the soaked tamarind well with your hands and strain the tamarind juice. add an additional _ cup of water to the tamarind, extract the juice completely, and discard the fiber.
Crush coriander seeds, black pepper, cumin seeds, and green chillies coarsely using a mortar and pestle or a mixer.
Add garlic flakes to the crushed spice mixture and roughly crush them.
Combine the crushed spice mixture with the tamarind extract. add 2 more cups of water to the mixture.
