To begin making drumstick spinach rasam, wash the arhar dal and pressure cook it with water for 3 whistles. allow the pressure to release naturally and then mash the dal.
In a pan, cook the drumstick leaves with 2 tablespoons of water, cover with a lid and let them wilt. set aside.
In a separate heavy-bottomed pan, bring the tamarind water to a boil until the raw smell of tamarind disappears.
Add the cooked tur dal and stir well, then add the cooked drumstick leaves.
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
