How To Cook?

To prepare the tangy amla dal rasam, start by placing the gooseberries (amla) in a pressure cooker. add 1/2 cup of water, turmeric powder, and a pinch of salt.

Pressure cook the gooseberries for 5 to 6 whistles and then turn off the heat.

Allow the pressure to release naturally.

Meanwhile, cook the arhar dal in a pressure cooker with 1 cup of water for 4 whistles. turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.

Once the gooseberries are cooked, open the cooker and remove the seeds. mash the cooked gooseberries lightly.
