To prepare the no onion no garlic black eyed bean masala, wash the black-eyed beans and soak them in water for about 2 hours.
Heat oil in the saute mode of the electric pressure cooker over medium heat. add cumin seeds, ginger, and green chilies. saute for a few seconds.
Add chickpea flour (besan) and roast it for two minutes, stirring continuously.
Add half a cup of water and make a smooth paste.
Now, add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, jaggery, salt, tamarind paste, and the soaked black-eyed beans along with 2 cups of water.
