To prepare the spinach and amaranth masiyal, place the amaranth and spinach in a pressure cooker with 1 tablespoon of water and salt.
Cook until one whistle and then release the pressure by placing the cooker under cold water.
Set it aside.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and asafoetida. cook for 30 seconds.
