How To Cook?

1

To prepare the south indian pepper cumin rasam, start by extracting the tamarind pulp and dilute it with 3 to 3-1/2 cups of water to create tamarind water.

2

In a saucepan, heat ghee over medium heat and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. allow them to crackle.

3

Add the curry leaves, crushed black peppercorns, cumin powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, tamarind water, and salt.

4

Stir the mixture and let it briskly boil for 3 to 4 minutes until the raw taste of tamarind water disappears.

5

If you find the rasam too tangy, you can adjust by adding more water, pepper, and cumin.
