To prepare the goan style banana delight (kelyacho halwo), peel the ripe bananas and slice them into thin rounds.
In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the ghee over medium heat. add the sliced bananas and stir-fry them in the ghee for a few seconds until they release a delightful aroma.
Pour in 2 to 3 tablespoons of water, add the sugar and cloves, and cook the bananas on low heat until the liquid thickens.
The mixture should have a thick halwa-like consistency; when you lift it and drop it, it should fall in thick drops and not in a stream.
Once the bananas reach the desired consistency, add the cardamom powder to enhance the flavor of the banana delight. turn off the heat.
