To prepare the spiced knol khol delight, wash and peel the knol khol (bulb) and cut it into fine slices.
Chop the green leaves into two halves and wash them thoroughly to remove any dirt. collect them in a colander and set aside.
In a broad-base pan, heat mustard oil and add a pinch of asafoetida.
Now, add the sliced knol khol bulb and the chopped knol khol leaves to the pan, along with whole dry red chilies and salt.
Saute the mixture for a while and then add kashmiri chilli powder or garam masala. stir well to coat the vegetables with the spices.
