Transfer the roasted bell pepper to a bowl, let it cool down, and then cut it open, remove the seeds, and cut it into small pieces. set it aside.

In a saucepan, combine the roasted bell pepper pieces, tomatoes, and one sprig of curry leaves with water. bring it to a rolling boil over high heat.

Turn off the flame and strain the liquid. allow the bell peppers, tomatoes, and curry leaves to cool down and then blend them in a grinder to form a smooth paste.

In a big saucepan, heat the tamarind water along with one cup of water. add the ground pepper-tomato paste, garlic, fennel seeds, and black peppercorns.
