To prepare the peas and flattened rice stir-fry, begin by blanching the fresh peas in a large pan with a pinch of salt.

Once boiled, drain the water and set the green peas aside.

Wash the flattened rice (poha) once in fresh water, drain it, and keep it aside. ensure not to leave excess water in the poha, as it may make it mushy.

In a heavy-bottomed kadai, heat some oil.

Add asafoetida (hing) and let it fry for about a minute.
