In a dry pan, roast the semolina (rava) until it turns light brown. be careful not to burn it. once done, transfer it to a bowl and set it aside.
In the same pan, heat 1/2 teaspoon of ghee and roast the peanuts until they become lightly browned. remove them from the pan and keep them aside.
In a saucepan, boil 3 cups of water.
In another pan, heat the remaining ghee. add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and urad dal. cook until they turn light brown.
Now add chopped onions and cook until they become soft.
