How To Cook?

Place the garlic cloves and ginger in a blender with a splash of water. blend until you obtain a fine paste. set it aside.

In the same blender, add the ground almonds and 40ml of water. blend until you achieve a smooth paste. set it aside.

Heat the ghee or oil in a large saucepan with a heavy bottom over low heat. add the panch phoran and fry for 20 seconds. then, add the onions and fry for approximately 6 minutes until they start to soften.

Add the garlic and ginger paste to the pan and fry for 2 minutes. next, add the chopped tomatoes and fry for 5 minutes until they soften. use the back of a spoon to help break them down.

Now, add the cumin powder, chilli powder, potatoes, and carrots to the pan. increase the heat to medium and fry for 4 minutes with the lid on. remember to stir halfway through.
