How To Cook?

Place the garlic, ginger, and almonds in the bowl of a food processor.

Turn on the food processor and gradually add six tablespoons of water through the funnel, blending until a smooth paste forms. if your food processor doesn't have a funnel, add the water before blending.

Heat vegetable oil in a wide pan over high heat. once hot, add the bay leaves, cardamom pods, cloves, and cinnamon stick. stir for about ten seconds, being cautious as they may splutter when they come in contact with the oil.

Add the onion to the pan and cook, stirring, until it turns medium-brown. reduce the heat to medium-high once the onion begins to brown.

Stir in the paste from the food processor and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until it is lightly browned.
