In a mixing bowl, mash the sweet potatoes using a fork or potato masher until smooth. add the rolled oats, black beans, spring onion, mayonnaise, tomato paste, curry powder, and salt. mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. place the sweet potato black bean patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by combining the almond yogurt, dill, and lemon juice in a small bowl. stir well to combine.
Toast the whole wheat hamburger buns until they are lightly golden.
