How To Cook?

1

To prepare the onion medu vada, start by washing the urad dal thoroughly and soaking it in water for about 4 to 5 hours.

2

After soaking, drain the water and grind the urad dal into a smooth paste in a mixer grinder. add a little water at a time while grinding.

3

Mix the ground urad dal paste thoroughly with your hands to allow aeration, and then close the lid of the container. keep it in the refrigerator overnight for fermentation. if you are in a hurry, you can proceed with the next steps without fermentation.

4

Finely chop the onion, ginger, curry leaves, and coriander leaves. add these to the urad dal batter along with a pinch of soda and salt. mix all the ingredients well.

5

Heat sunflower oil in a wok or kadhai for deep frying the vadas.
